Mental Health (CDC)CDC takes a public health approach to mental health. Our activities include: documenting the prevalence and impact of mental disorders; evaluating programs, services, and policies; and identifying strategies to support mental health promotion and prevention of mental disorders. The work in mental health is distributed across the agency and spans specific populations (including children, women, and elderly) and settings (including global, domestic, school, and healthcare).
Our work supports the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Healthy People 2020 objectives related to mental health and mental disorders
