This guide was created to assist students conducting research on bullying.

Getting Started...

The term bullying covers a multitude of actions-- threats, physical violence, and name calling, to name a few. This guide will contain resources and links that help you discovering the varying facets of bullying and ways to prevent the bullying.

When searching for resources on bullying, it may help to think of terms related to bullying.  Depending on where the bullying takes place it could called cyberbullying, harassment (sexual, physical, and verbal), aggression or aggressive, inappropriate behavior, abuse (physical and verbal), as well as other terms.

You may also want to examine who is getting bullied. Is the person who is being bullied belong to a specific race, cultural, or ethnic group, have a certain physical or mental characteristic, or a certain sex?

Some resources named in this guide may only be assessible to UNCP students, faculty, and staff.
